Recommendations

Agileco recommends running the AgileVoice billing and provisioning application on Solaris 10, with LigHTTPd, MySQL 4.1, and PHP 5 compiled for FastCGI.  Additionally, Agileco recommends running Asterisk on Solaris 10, unless hardware requirement dictate otherwise.

We recommend that your network infrastructure have quality of service (QoS) policies in place, before you implement VoIP traffic on your network.

In addition, we recommend the ULAW or ALAW voice codecs, if your bandwidth requirements allow for its usage. The ULAW and ALAW voice codecs have the same voice quality of the PSTN.
