The DIDx plug-in is configured under Admin -> DID Plugin Setup -> List -> Double click DIDx. If you do not have a DIDx plug-in, or you wish to create another, then you may select Add in the Admin -> DID Plugin Setup menu.
You must configure the DIDx.org plug-in with the credentials given to you by DIDx.org. If you do not have DIDx.org credentials, you may receive them by going to:
Plugin Setup Name - This is the name shown in the product configuration area. It is meant to help you track your plug-ins.
Use Plugin - This should be set to DIDX.
Available for Countries - This is used for the user area, while the customer is purchasing a product with a DID. This enables the customer to choose a country from a drop-down, to further continue in purchasing a DID.
Release reserved DIDs after - The number of seconds a DID is to be held without purchasing. A DID is placed as reserved when a customer adds the DID to their shopping cart. If after this many seconds the customer hasn't purchased the DID, it is then automatically released back to the DID pool as an available number.
Username - This is the username assigned to you by DIDX.
Password - This is the password assigned to you by DIDX.
Destination Host - This is the IP address or hostname to tell DIDX where to provision the call to. This is typically your Asterisk system's IP address or hostname. It could also be your SER system, depending on your infrastructure.
Channel Type - This is the request channel type. Currently, only SIP is supported.
Countries and Area Codes to retrieve - This is a list of country codes, line separated. Each country code line must have a colon followed by a comma delimited list of area codes for that country. Ex: 44:0871 or 1:567,419,800,888
Note: The DIDX plugin does not support an asterisk (*) to specify all available area codes. This is a limitation of the DIDX system. Also note that DIDs are not usually instantly provisioned by DIDX. This is yet another limitation of their system.
